I need a fairly large bed, but would rather not spend a fortune. let's say under/around $30?
I have a sheltie - but he's large. His current bed is a 34"-ish wide bolster style.
why are dog beds so expensive?

they are so pricey! no idea why! we've got them around $30 at costco before. That's in Canada, so they might even be cheaper in the US! They are big too.

I would try TJmaxx. My friend was just saying how she found an awesome dog bed there after she had already bought one. The tjmaxx bed was better in quality and cheaper!

Costco is where we got ours. They don't always carry them but occasionally. They are right at $30 but are like a mini couch (back and sides bolsters)

I saw an ad in the BBB flyer for a really nice dog bed on sale for $39.99, plus you can almost always find a 20% off coupon.

We got ours at Target. The Boots & Barkley separates. I think the cover was $6 and the bed was $15 ... Great deal! We have two big dogs.
