The attachment is what makes it a high-chair for babies, so your 6-month-old could sit there.

$75 sounds totally reasonable! The plastic thing is for babies and then you take it off when your LO can sit in a chair without any type of support/restraint. That looks like an older model baby attachment though because our attachment has a higher back support. We don't have a tray for ours, we pull it all the way up to the table so DD can eat off of the table. It would still be a great deal for your older LO if you took off the baby attachment (very easy to remove it with a type of Allen wrench). We also have a Tripp Trapp for my son and it's nice that he's at table height and he can get on and off of the chair with no problem.

I'd definitely pay $75, I see them for a lot more around here!

@T.H.O.U.: I think it's a great deal. After our move we have DD sit in a regular chair and DS sits in the tripp trapp now. Love it!

Good price! I bought one for $90 without any harness! We do not have the tray either, just pull the chairs up to the table. The only downside to not having a tray is that they can climb up and get onto the table- talk about a heart attack for mama!

I don't think you need the extenders bc you are using it on a wood floor. I called Stokke to ask about them and they said they would send them but they really are only needed if the chair is being used on a surface where it can't slide (like a carpet or rug) because otherwise, the chair just moves back when your kids pushes against the table. I never put mine on and we have used the chairs for 7 months with no problems.

Yay you got it! That's pretty much a steal I'd say! You can remove the harness strap by unscrewing the screw - it's under the wood bar area. I've never had to, but I saw it on a YouTube video.
