I have to buy about $400 worth of gift cards.
Anyone know of a place that is doing deals, like a free $20 gift card for every $100 spent?

If you do specific restuarants, I know some give you the buyer X amount of dollars for purchasing Y amount of dollars in gift cards. If you're a Sam's Club member, they usually discount gift cards by a few dollars.

Costco, too, I think has discounts! I saw Children's Place had a deal that was something where you got $10 for yourself if you bought a gift card. Is there anywhere specific you are looking?

Grocery stores often do extra fuel points for gift card purchases. You can usually get up to $1 off a gallon so that could be $15+ in savings if you fill your entire tank.

@lizzywiz: we have some grocery stores that give gas points for buying giftcards. My poor mom isn't allowed to just buy anything at the store - she has to go to the grocery store, then buy the gift card, then go to the store. I get giftcards with my discover card cash back pretty often. you redeem $20 and they give you $25.

No, I don't have a place in mind. It's for extended family- I have 4 kids 8-12, and 5 adults who I don't know super well and figured gift cards are the way to go.

a lot of places do promos now. Buy x get X free. I needed a few iTunes and Starbucks gc and bought them from BJs. Three $10 Gc for $28 etc.
