I never see these go on sale, so I thought I'd share...
(looks like the sale is good on both brown colors and black!)

OH man...I'm telling myself "you do not need more boots" and then I see this...

I know, I know. It's bad. I have the cognac and LOVE them. I asked for the black for Christmas, but I think that's a reach.

I have these boots and LOVE them. Just got them resoled for like the 4th time.

@MamaMoose: I am glad you pulled the trigger. You won't be disappointed.
@BakerBee: I really need to get mine resoled, but I forgot over the summer and now I can't bear to be without them.

@MamaMoose: Nice! I sent DH the link and he wrote back "already bought you gift." I responded "boots are the gift that keep giving, pass this email on to Santa, I've been good." We shall see...

@littlek: ha hahahaha. You are my favorite. I went to Nordstrom with a personal shopper and spent a crap ton of money. Right before I met her my hubs was arguing with me about some holiday drama with his family so I felt ZERO guilt when I swiped that credit card!

oh my...i really might treat myself with my first "paycheck" as a SAHM. haha or that's how I'll explain it to my DH. Deciding between cognac and dark brown.....

Sigh. My heart is pitter-pattering. One day these shall be mine!
Probably years from now though.

I love these boots!! I totally don't need another pair, but that's a great deal!

I have them in brown and they are my favorite! I need to get them resoled, though. I bought mine on Amazon for about the same price, so they do go on sale every once a while elsewhere.

@Tidybee: I went with the cognac so I could wear them with black. It's a GORGEOUS color.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@septca: I'm embarrassed to admit this BUT..... I desperately wanted to wear them for my engagement pictures a couple of years ago and so I superglued the sole back on (it had gone into two piece). Surprisingly, that "fix" was the longest the sole ever survived.

I bought the back zip ones on Amazon when there was a sale. I got Cognac and it's a beautiful color. People have stopped me to ask what kind of boots they are.
pomegranate / 3729 posts
Oh. In my dreams. As soon as I have a bigger expendable income, I am totally buying these for myself. These are so beautiful.

@Tidybee: Get the Cognac. The color of the leather is more varigated and richer than the dark brown. Plus, then you can wear them with black. Love, love, love. And they were my go-to Paris shoes, so obv you need them.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@BakerBee: That's awesome. I think I am going to get a rubber sole when I get mine fixed because the leather sole is really slippery in the rain.

@mrsjyw: @septca: @littlek: @Tidybee: ummm they are even cheaper on amazon using coupon code LMINGIFT you can get the cognac for $252.07
I did just get a christmas bonus hmmm....

@Smurfette: have you tried extended calf? I got the extended calf in the back zip ones and I know there's an extended calf for the button ones too.
GOLD / squash / 13464 posts
@Smurfette: So I have fat calves too. And I originally tried them on in the wide calf and they looked really slouchey around the ankle and rubbed my ankle bone so I just gave up. When I was at Nordstrom's yesterday I was convinced to try the regular and they fit like a dream!

@mrskc: Yeah but it says they are 16", and I think I need 16.5"....God did not bless me with nice legs, no matter what I do....So I wouldn't want to order them without trying them on first.
nectarine / 2834 posts
@jetsa: wow- you may have just made me pull the trigger. I showed the sale to DH and he smiled and shrugged and said if you really want them...getting another 40 dollars off might just be the push I need.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@MamaMoose: How far do they go up? I have the slouchy ankle problem all the time.
squash / 13764 posts
Anyone know how they run? I'm usually a 7.5 or an 8...would I size up or down?
GOLD / squash / 13464 posts
@Smurfette: Probably three inches below my knee? I can take a pic and send it to you when I get home tonight.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@MamaMoose: please do! I really want a good pair but I can't stand if they are too tight on my legs....
GOLD / squash / 13464 posts
@hilsy85: Up since you'll most likely want to wear socks under them.
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@Tidybee: me too. The extended calf is even cheaper but I don't know if I need it.
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@Tidybee: also free shipping and free returns. I'm tempted to order both regular and extended calf and return the other because amazon won't exchange...
bananas / 9357 posts
@Smurfette: amazon has got free returns. And the opening at the top actually varies by size. What size are you? the bigger the size, the wider the opening.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@mrskc: Oh, well it doesn't say that on the website......I wear a 7.5
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@hilsy85: I usually wear a 7 or 7.5, but I bought mine when I was pregnant and was worried about my feet swelling, so I ordered an 8. By the end of my pregnancy, I could not get them on. But now, post-pregnancy, they fit great. I like that they are a little roomy so I can wear thick socks.
Word of caution - these boots are WORK to break in. They should be hard to get on and off the first few wears. If they go on easily, they are too big.
