@zippylef: Hehe! I was agonizing about that last deal because of shipping. My mom just sent me a package recently and if I bought it I would have had to wait until Xmas for het to send it. Or pay tons for shipping. So I passed it up. It was actually more expensive everywhere immediately after that deal was over. Until now

How do you deal with customs taxes? I am always hesitant to order from the UK site because of this.

@looch: I don't get taxed as long as it's from the EU. My total was exactly what I'm charged. Customs and the post office have never charged me more when I order from the EU, but I always try to breakdown my orders since it's free shipping after 25 GBP anyways. Unless it's from a vendor like this one.
The only time I was hit by customs tax and a fee from my post office is when I bought a jacket off of EBay from the States. I paid an additional 70%!!! Since then, I learned my lesson.

@looch: BTW, I have a free shipping voucher from Gap EU, if you're interested. It's only worth 4 GBP though and expires Sept 9th. I actually have 2 vouchers, so if anyone else is interested, I'll post it up after I put down LO for her nap.

@Crumbs: Oh, okay I see. I ordered a pair of Hunter wellies from a UK site once and they had put a very low value on it and if it had gotten lost, I wouldn't have been able to collect the insurance...gosh, I feel like I have no idea what the best way to handle shipping to Switzerland. Gaaah.

@looch: Argh, that sucks! I had a Puj tub I ordered that got lost. It was from Amazon UK, but shipped from a vendor that used DHL (I have probs with them here). I never received it so Amazon refunded me no question. Funny thing is, it actually came 5 months later! The packaging is so flat, I think it was lost under something. Now I have an extra tub.
