@Adira: so did you end up paying nothing for your epis? If so, I'm jealous... I've used this coupon a few times and in the most recent times, it only took $100 off my $500 bill. I think it's a YMMV situation due to insurance premiums, etc

@T-Mom: I updated my other thread about my experience, but didn't do so here. I had the same experience as you this time around, I'm guessing because of my high deductible insurance. It only took $100 off my $600 bill, so I ended up paying $500. Last year I had different insurance and this card made it so I paid $0. Not so lucky this year!

@Adira: Aw man, bummer. Yeah, the rising costs of the epi pen too, due to lack of competition is really upsetting!! Makes me mad, mad...

@T-Mom: Yeah, it sucks! I was pissed too because the one I got expires in February, so I'm going to have to get another one for daycare and it won't have even been a year!

@Adira: I have also learned that the hard way.. Next time when you get the rx filled, open the bag at the pharmacy before you pay for it, or ask the pharmacist to look at the expiration date. Don't pay for anything that doesn't have at least a year on it. If they need to they can order one for you... It's so expensive we should at least get a year, right??

@T-Mom: Yeah, definitely! Now I know for next time! So annoying though.

@yin: The more Mylan does in an attempt to calm criticism, the more annoyed I am with them. Why offer a generic at half the price instead of just reducing the price of the EpiPen?? I assume they will be identical, but one will be called "EpiPen" and the other will not. And why is it STILL so ridiculously expensive?
They suck.

@yin: I didn't realize what a scam they've been running. I was so thrilled when that new law was passed making it so teachers could administer EpiPens to students they thought were having an allergic reaction, and I still think that's great, but now I realize it was all part of Mylan's strategy to get stocked in schools and just rake in more and more money. It's frustrating that they care more about their profits than the lives of children.

I listened to this segment last year and was furious. A year later, and it has only gotten worse.
