Amazon Mom has a deal right now where if you spend $250 you get $50 back plus 3% with ebates.
We have some baby gifts to buy totaling about $100 but my husband's logic is since we are ttc we may as well spend the extra money and get things for ourselves since it works out to like 30% off of our side of things (because there wouldn't be a discount if we just bought the gifts.)
So what would you buy for yourself if you were still ttc your first baby?

Diapers, stockpile those puppies! 
I didn't buy diapers for the first 6 months, it was awesome.

We are purchasing the last things we need for baby in a week or two and I'm hoping they still have the sale! As far as what you should buy...any basics you would need! Anything by A&A

@Cole: A stroller (could even be a future umbrella stroller), travel pack n play, swing, glider, car seat, breat pump, etc. Lots of great options!

Few things that jumped out: Carter's waterproof mattress pad, changing pad, glider, crib mattress (highly rated one for $53), aden and anais blankets, nosefrida, sophie the giraffe, pack and play.
It looks like many of the warehouse deals are included- might consider the Britax B-safe ($111) or inglesina table chair.
(We are TTC, and the first month AF was several days late. We were convinced I was pregnant and so when I saw the Britax B-agile and B-safe at a steal, I bought them. Still TTC and hoping we get to use them soon. Good luck!)

@Cole: A&A also makes some burp cloths that double as bibs. Sets of two. I have one set but would get at least two next time around! What about baby proofing items, a first aid kit, or grooming kit?

I'd steer clear of a car seat and anything that you won't know how it works when the time comes if that makes sense...like a swing. Say you buy it and it doesn't work? How do you return it when it's likely outside of the return period?
