I want to start using coupons. Where do you usually get yours? Any tips on how to start? Do you meal plan around them or just use them as the need arises?

Check out the Flipp app. I've just started using it, and I am in love. Its more for price matching, etc....but its great! You can clip all of your 'coupons' on a smart phone/tablet, and just show that to the cashier, instead of carrying coupons.

Target is great because they have mobile coupons, printables on their website and the cartwheel app that can all be combined.
And I usually check sites for coupons if there's something I need (dove, etc...)

I mostly use Target - the cartwheel, printables, and mobile coupons. And then we get a RedPlum mailer weekly that I clip stuff from.
I don't meal plan around my coupons, though. I just use whatever coupons correspond with my list that week. Though if I have a coupon that is expiring and I think it's something that I'll need relatively soon, I'll go ahead and use it. I can't buy in bulk because we just don't have the space for it.

How much are you wanting to get into this? Using a phone app or carrying around a coupon binder? Totally different advice for each scenario

The problem with coupons is that they are mostly for snack foods or toiletries - It would be hard to meal plan around them I think!
I mean you never see a coupon for seafood or veggies

Maybe just start clipping the coupons off the paper first, and I go to coupons.com to print out additional coupons.
I also shop at Target and do what Ash does.

@MrsTiz: I think I'd want to start small. I'm not organized enough for extreme coy pining or anything crazy like that!

@rahlyrah: I like The Frugal Find and Deal Seeking Mom for weekly coupon matchups - I get lots of awesome deals at CVS (not for food but for toiletries and such)

I wasn't sure if I should add to this thread or start a new one but I was wondering what everyone thinks the best resources are for coupons? Are there any apps with coupons? I have two that do the flyers. I keep all of my CVS ones but am I missing another option?
