It's refurbished but Canon refurbs are AMAZING and like new, many times you cannot even tell.

Not sure how long it will last, they sold out quickly last time it got even near this price.

It is optically stabilized which means the glass lens itself stops the shaking, not like most phones which manipulate the picture digitally.

Incredible 42x zoom and also 1080p full HD video recording.

If you need something better than your phone camera, this will definitely be much better.
