Trying to find a crib and our budget is $200, not including a mattress.
I had read on here some people finding cribs on sale/clearance or a good package offer with mattress or something else.
Does anyone know where to find a GOOD crib, on sale or part of some deal? Do any sample sale sites you know of sell cribs at a reduced price?

I haven't looked at them so I don't know the price, but I've heard good things about ikea cribs.

We got the Graco Lauren Crib, matching changing table, and the mattress for $250.They have some other deals that don't include a changing table and then some that include small dressers instead. Also, if you have it shipped to the store, shipping is free.

@Sweet T: yeah, I've been looking on there. Of course the one crib I REALLY wanted is out of stock online and not at a store within 50 miles. boo. I was looking at the graco lauren though. It's only $150.

Check out the Baby Mod line on walmart's website. The Modena is 199 and gets great reviews. It's the last place I expected to find a good quality, modern crib, but we have and love the Olivia. IKEA cribs also get high marks and would be in your budget, and I think there are a few Graco models, too.

I think I read that BRU is doing a special on cribs plus a dresser this weekend. Not sure if it applies to just cribs though!

I don't know if you've looked at Buy Buy Baby, but if you sign up for emails from them, they immediately send you a 20% off coupon for one in-store item. 20% comes out to be a lot of savings on an item that's hundreds of dollars, so that's what we're using for the Davenport crib from there. We actually signed up several email addresses between me and DH so we can use it on the crib and dresser/changing table.
Also, I had looked on Craigslist for several months trying to find a used Pottery Barn Larkin crib (it got discontinued) and while I never really find the Larkin, I have definitely seen a ton of really beautiful PB cribs on CL for under $200...You can maybe look there and just replace the mattress if you find one?

I hate Walmart but they do have good deals on crib and mattress combos. Oh last time I was at Ikea I was marveling at the crib selection!! When Wagon Jr. was born they only had TWO!

Oh I forgot that I saw some really pretty cribs at Sears and I actually was shocked when I saw the prices because they were in the $200 range!

Wait for a sale or 20% off coupon at babies R us. Our crib was $200 and it is AWESOME and looks expensive. It was a pain to assemble, but it looks really nice.

We have the Lauren too, it's super cute. We spent $160 on the crib and $95 on the mattress.
I really, really want the Olivia crib by Baby Mod. It was too big to ship to an APO though.

@pastemoo: yeah I just got one and we went today. There was only one crib we liked/in our price range and it turned out to be the wrong color! All his other furniture is white, so an off white crib would clash

@Zippylef We also have the Lauren but were seriously looking at the Olivia by Baby Mod!! The Lauren was too good a deal to pass up, especially since I don't know if we will end up doing the conversion.

@pastemoo: so disappointed! We went to BRU yesterday with a 20% coupon and only one crib in the store was $200, but it was the wrong color. They said we might be able to get on online with the 20% off but when they called online customer sales they said no! We were so disappointed
