Sadie's video monitor died tonight. I can hear her, but not see her. It's a ridiculous first world problem, but I'm having major anxiety over not being able to see her!
I need to order a new monitor tonight - anyone know of any deals?!

Try calling the company to see if they'll replace it. Motorola replaced ours when the monitor had issues turning on and off. But it is less than a year old.

@swedishfish: It was bought for us in 2012, so I don't think they'll replace it. The warranty is out.

@photojane: Is it Samsung? We have had a horrible, horrible experience with our Samsung monitor. Not only has it died several times without warning but their customer service is truly horrendous!
That being said, we cannot afford a new one & we have been able to fix the issue you are having by doing a factory reset. Assuming you've tried that?
If you find a great deal on another one please let us know!

@daniellemybelle: No, it's Summer Infant. It was cheap, so I'm not really surprised. We tried tons of stuff and can't seem to fix it. I'm really trying to find a deal on a Motorola one since I've heard good things.

@photojane: we had one about a week ago. It was on amazon. $100 off of a monitor.

@photojane: try calling them! They have great customer service!! My friend had a monitor they don't even make anymore and they sent her a new one/new version. It's worth a shot!
That being said, we have a Summer Infant baby touch boost and it has already gone out on us once and had to be replaced... 5 months after buying it, only a month into using it! I really like the monitor but all the reviews report the same problems, so I wouldn't recommend buying one if you do have to buy a new one!

@photojane: what about eBay? We got our Motorola one from there for $130 about a year ago, it was brand new.

@photojane: I know someone who broke their summer monitor (by dripping it!) and it was way past when it would have been warrantied & they replaced it when she called! You should give it a shot! The replacement is still going strong 5 years later!
