Last year, Prime Day was held on July 15—a Tuesday. If Amazon goes with a Tuesday again this year, Prime Day could perhaps be July 12 or July 19. If the company sticks with July 15 as the date for Prime Day in 2016, it would be a Friday. It’s all speculation at this point because, like so many issues, Amazon is remaining quiet on this one until it’s good and ready.

This year's Prime Day will feature a run-up of five days of pre-Prime Day sales, each day offering a few deals to get customers primed (so to speak) for Prime Day.
Amazon says it will launch new deals as often as every five minutes over the 24 hours of the sale.

@catlady: I don't think I bought anything last year. I didn't research/prep in any way, then was overwhelmed the day of with a bunch of "deals" that weren't of interest to me. I'll have to do better this year!

I'm excited for prime day! I have a short list of things I have been looking for but waiting for a sale. Last year stuff sold out so fast that it became really frustrating, I hope they can do something to help that problem this year. I think it bothered me most when it was stuff they were listing again in two hours!
I'm looking for a bike trailer like a burley and some Green toys.
