@T.H.O.U.: do you know if when I apply for the debit card version they run all your information like a credit card application? Or is it more like applying for a rewards card that's linked to my checking?

@Regberadaisy the target card can go one of two ways. You can apply for a true credit card through them or you can give them a cancelled check and they will send you a debit card that you use with a pin number that will come out of your checking account just as if you had written a check. (no credit application for the second option) You also get free shipping if you use your red card in addition to your 5%. I love my target red card!
