Their policy is to not accept coupons on a price matched item, but if you get lucky they might override it at your store.

I've seen $5-10 of $30 purchase in the mail.

Don't forget they take competitor coupons (Toys R us). They price match, too.

I've done both for one item.

You can definitely use cartwheel + a target coupon + a manufacturers coupon. I have done this multiple times. You might find one of these blogs useful for tracking target sales & coupon match ups: totally target & all things target. I follow them both on Facebook.

I mostly use Target - the cartwheel, printables, and mobile coupons. And then we get a RedPlum mailer weekly that I clip stuff from.

I don't meal plan around my coupons, though. I just use whatever coupons correspond with my list that week. Though if I have a coupon that is expiring and I think it's something that I'll need relatively soon, I'll go ahead and use it. I can't buy in bulk because we just don't have the space for it.

@Mrs. Chipmunk: I tried couponing and I failed miserably. I went to the Albertson's you're talking about, and they only allowed double coupons on 3 items so it was a max of $3 more dollars off.

But yes, the coupons in the Sunday paper are different than what you can find online and they are different than the ones that come during the week in the mailbox.

Also, in order to follow the coupon blogs and stock up on things, I found that you would need several copies of the Sunday paper which I wasn't willing to buy if I didn't know what I was going to get in the coupon section.

Quite honestly, I found couponing really time consuming and because I wasn't very successful, I gave up on it.

@Mrs. Chipmunk: I can't answer your question, but I do want to suggest downloading the favado app. I live in Seattle and it has all the local stores. It will tell you all in-store sales for your local grocery stores. It's one app for you to see the deals. It an easy way to get the best deal with coupons.

I dont like to spend more than $4 for a case of soda and I can quickly see which store I need to go to to get the best deal.

I have the most luck 'couponing' at Target and Safeway since I can access their store coupons on my phone easily - plus they both have their savings with Cartwheel for Target and Just for U (or whatever they call it) at Safeway. We don't get the paper but I usually check the RedPlum mailers and other distributions that we get.

@Mrs. Chipmunk: companies put a print out limit (per day or total max). Some websites reset their coupons and some don't once it reaches the max limit. There are couponing websites that are dedicated to a specific store so it would be worth it to check it out. I shop mainly at Safeway and Walgreens and live in the puget sound area. You can also check out printable smartsource coupons from other stores such as target, walmart and Safeway.

I tend to check redplum, smartsource and coupon.com. The ones available in the Sunday circular aren't always available online. You will notice that a lot of the time coupons in the paper that week usually coincide with that week's sales.

Check your store's website. A Lot of them have their own coupons you can double up with manf coupons.

Do you use coupons.com? I think if you are printing off of the company's website, they probably max out after a while since they don't want to make it available for that long? OR, they save your cookie and max you out (that's only if you've printed before)?

I live in the Northeast, but I do find that the coupons in the papers are different than coupons online. And stores are stricter these days with doubling coupons. I shop at Target mainly since you can stack their coupons (from their website) with regular manufacturer coupons.

Don't give up! I don't extreme coupon but def find it helpful if I just take 20 min each week to sort through coupons and make a shopping lists to utilize them!
